In the personal views of myself, Jonny Haskins (a British, late 20’s male if that helps set the tone), this is a list of my favourite TV series to date that I would recommend that everyone give them a watch, regardless of age.  Many would be agreed as noteworthy additions, some are perhaps a little obscure, but all follow the continuous theme that I thoroughly enjoyed them and found it gripping, entertaining, quality acting, well filmed with good solid storyline. With a focus more so on modern big budget, proper blockbuster type series whilst ignoring the likes of solid favourites like, Planet Earth, Big Bang Theory, South Park, Top Gear, Friends, etc. Last Updated January 2014.

Non Listed.  Some maybe thinking where are these other obvious classics!

  • Soprano’s (Watched Season 1 – found it incredibly slow, un-gripping and simply a weekly visit to the shrink it seemed to vent of anger.  Was expecting much more.)
  • Californication (Watched Season 1 – A Consistent showcase of sex for which I can’t complain, it just didn’t seem to have much of a storyline and was same, same and predictable at times)
  • Arrested Development (Not Watched – not interested)
  • Dowton Abbey.  (No thanks)
  • Walking Dead or anything zombie related (Not really a unique plot is there and rather silly)
  • Doctor Who (It’s just a little too sci-fi and odd)
